Business Reports:
September General Mtg. Minutes approved. 1st Debbie Mitkuta 2nd Hazel Alcock
Eileen Wagner, reviewed the September Treasurer Report with members present.
Barbara Paulsen, reminded members of the procedure for returning name tags and respectfully asked members to not engage in side conversations during a speaker presentation.
October Event Reminders:
Tryon Palace Garden Tour October 15th at 10:00AM.
Pot Planting for the Craft Fair will take place on Tues. Oct. 28th from 1-5PM. If you were not at the meeting to sign up, please contact Jan Reitzel (614-578-0805), if you plan on attending. Even if you can only come for part of the time, we’d love to have your help!
November Event Reminders:
Craft Fair Saturday Nov. 8th 8-1PM
The Garden Club will have the Fall Raffle Baskets at a table, selling raffle tickets, and the winner will be drawn at our Nov. 10 monthly meeting. The themes this year are: Gardener to Go, Fall in Love with the Season, Life is a Picnic, and Christmas is Here! Lina Gregg and Barbara Fossett have done a wonderful job putting these beautiful baskets together. Thank you!!
Hand Painted Pots & Plants will also be sold during the Craft Fair on Nov. 8th. Come out and see the amazing artistry talents your fellow members shared over the summer and support our Scholarship Fund by purchasing pots for yourself or as a gift!
Harbourside Nursery Nov. 13th 4-6Pm Cost $25, plus cost of individual plants you may purchase. (Pay at Harbourside). Come join us for this evening social, as Rachel Tipton shows us how to plant a container garden, while chatting about gardening practices, and sharing snacks. 154955 NC-55 Bayboro 28515
New Business: A new FH Garden Club Brochure was presented by our President, Barb Paulsen. Pricing for printing is being considered as the POA office has agreed to put one in the New Resident Packages and we will use these as a marketing tool at various events.
Garden Club Banners were placed at the entrance to the Comm. Ctr. Parking lot this morning, making travelers by, aware that our wonderful Garden Club is active and here to join! Thanks to Rick Reitzel, for making the frames.
Ginger Thompson announced that we will be receiving an invitation from “Facts” to promote the Garden Club in February.
It was suggested that we look into promoting Garden Club meetings and events on the electronic billboard out in front of the Firehouse. The BOD will look into this possibility,
Hazel Alcock presented a Show-n-Tell about growing persimmons and loofahs, even passing out seeds, so members could try planting their own.
Committee Needs –
Thank you, Anita English for volunteering to work with Robin on Door Prizes and to Ginger Thompson who will be our new Historian! We appreciate you!
SHOUT OUT to Corrine Burton, Linda Gregg, and their helpers for organizing a wonderful Fall Pot Luck! Delicious food and wonderful conversation were enjoyed by all.

December: There will be a Parade this year! Tentative date, 12/13. More info to come…
April 23, 2026: Spring Day Trip to Pitt County Arboretum and Plant & See Nursery. Details are still being finalized, but we will carpool and have lunch together.
May 2026: First Annual FH Garden Tour The committee is still working on a specific date and details, but the cost will be $5 per person. Stay tuned for more on this amazing event!
